This section describes the work flow for the generation of ArteMice CONSTITUTIVE™ custom made mice. Terms and conditions for these services are available on request.

1. Constitutive KO
   Deliverable: 2 breeding pairs of mice heterozygous for the gene deletion
   Time: 38 weeks
   
   
   • Locus characterization
   • Constitutive KO Vector construction
   • Transfection of vector into C57BL/6 ES cells
   • ES Cell injection
   • In vivo selection marker deletion (parallel with germline transmission)
   • Breeding to heterozygosity
     
     
2. Constitutive KO with option for conditional KO
   Deliverable: 2 breeding pairs of mice heterozygous for the constitutive gene deletion
   Time: 38 weeks
   
   
   • Locus characterization
   • Constitutive and conditional KO Vector construction
   • Transfection of vector into C57BL/6 ES cells
   • ES Cell injection
   • In vivo selection marker and gene deletion (parallel with germline transmission)
   • Breeding to heterozygosity
     
     Optional in vivo deletion of selection marker only, to provide conditional allele
     
     Deliverable: 2 breeding pairs of mice heterozygous for the conditional gene deletion
     Time: 14 weeks after excersing the option
     
     
3. 3. Constitutive knock-in mice
   Deliverable: 2 breeding pairs of mice heterozygous for the gene knock in.
   Time: 38 weeks
   
   
   • Knock-in Vector construction (cDNA required from customer)
   • Transfection of vector into C57BL/6 ES cells
   • ES Cell injection
   • In vivo selection marker deletion (parallel with germline transmission)
   • Breeding to heterozygosity
